Harold
Washington Library Center
Tishman
was awarded, after a public bidding process, this major contract
to provide property management services for Chicago's new and
impressive $145 million Harold Washington Library Center. The
award of this contract by the City of Chicago marked its first
successful attempt at the total "privatization" to the
public sector of a municipal building. HWLC has an annual visitor
total of approximately 2 million people, and is the largest public
library in North America. A 750,000 square foot public library
complex, its special features include an auditorium, exhibit hall,
video theater, winter garden, restaurant, bookstore and special
function areas. Property Management services include maintenance,
engineering, security, special event coordination, insurance,
financial control, custodial, budgeting, quality control, construction,
life safety and preventive maintenance programs. Operated from
construction to opening.

International
Terminal 5 - O'Hare International Airport
International
Terminal 5 was the first airport terminal to be privatized by
the City of Chicago. Tishman Midwest Management Corp., as a partner
in Airport Property Management Group, was awarded this prestigious
contract on April 15, 1993. On April 17, 1993 international flights
began arriving at the terminal, with departures beginning on October
1, 1993. It is a 1.2 million square foot facility, serving in
excess of 5 million international travelers per year. The terminal
also boasts a 30,000 square foot meter/greeter area, 11 moving
walkways and 14 VIP lounges. The Federal Inspection Services facility
has the capability to process over 4,000 passengers per hour.
An aggressive preventative maintenance program has been established
to reduce the amount of future capital expenses by the Airport
Authority, which will preserve the efficiency and integrity of
the Terminal.
Operated from construction to opening.

Chicago
Public Schools
Tishman
Midwest Management Corp., together with Louis Jones Enterprises,
serve as the Technical Facilities Manager for 100 self-directed
schools, which are fiscally independent of the school system's
operational service. Technical oversight, competence and management
are provided to assure operation compliance with the school
system's requirements. Work orders are provided for engineering
service, scheduling facility/grounds repair and maintenance.
Work orders are handled through an approved general contracting
pool, documenting work performance for future use. Operations
and maintenance budgets are managed, along with the capital
maintenance budgets for each of these schools.

Northwestern
Atrium Center
1.5
million square foot, 41 story office, retail center and commuter
rail terminal. Its distinctive Art Deco design includes a unique
9-story atrium starting at ground level. Northwest Atrium Center
was constructed of over 20,000 tons of steel and 56 types of reflective
glass. It is open to the public 140 hours weekly, and handles
in excess of 130,000 commuters, office tenants and neighborhood
visitors daily. Modern, state of the art building security and
safety systems were developed for this dynamic structure. Tishman
Midwest Management Corp. managed this property from construction
through opening until 1993.

IV
1,036,000
square foot, 23-story office building with a 25,000 square foot
lobby and retail shops. Gateway IV overlooks the Chicago River
and its unique design features an extensive use of marble complimented
by expansive use of floor to ceiling glass. Established operating
procedures in all areas of management including mechanical operations,
preventive maintenance, life safety, emergency evacuation, security
and cleaning. Tishman Midwest Management Corp. developed and
managed this building from construction through opening in 1983
until 1991.

Centennial
Center I

in excess of 1,000 spaces. This
12 story building is a modern, all glass, total electric structure
utilizing post-tension concrete. Tishman Midwest developed the
property in 1980 and was managing partner for the project.

South Riverside Plaza

million square foot, 35-story office tower built on the air
rights of the Chicago Union Station, completed in 1971. This
building is home to the Chicago Union Station rail facility,
which services Chicago area commuter lines and is the Midwest
hub for Amtrak. Tishman Midwest Management Corp. managed from
construction through opening and into the 1980's.
